What
are the 6 Universal Human Needs?

According to Anthony Robbins
and human psychology we all have 6 Human Needs that
are driving and shaping our lifes regardless of
age, nationality, gender or spiritual beliefs. These
needs (especially the 4 primal needs) drive us to
do the things we do without any conscious effort,
the universal force of wanting to satisfy these
needs is automatic.
As these human needs drive our actions unconsciously
they may manifest themselves in positive or negative
ways....
The Four Primal Needs are
1. Certainty
- We all need some sense of stability & security.
It could be food, housing or other material resources
or a state of mind (such as religion or faith).
2.
Uncertainty - We also need some
variety in life. Could take form in movement, our
physical environment, entertainment or foods.
3.
Significance - Everyone has a need
to feel special and important in some way either
from others or from ourselves. It's important to
acknowledge that anger and helplessness can also
offer a sense of power and significance just as
much as recognition does for deeds done well.
4.
Connection - We all have a need
to feel connected to something or someone.
And the Two Spiritual Needs
are
5. Growth
- We are either green and growing or ripe and rottening.
We cannot be spiritually satisfied unless we are
learning, growing and changing.
6.
Contribution - There is no real
spiritual satisfaction unless we are contributing
to a bigger picture, something greater than ourselves.
This may as simple as being a parent, being there
for a friend or helping to enhance humanity for
all.
The beauty is as we become more aware of what they
are we can choose to make conscious choices about
how we can get these needs met in a more enjoyable
and sustainable way!
